HEALTH PROGRAM SPECIALIST 1 - Carson City

The Position
Health Program Specialists plan, develop, implement and evaluate health services and activities; develop goals, objectives, program requirements and procedures; provide technical information regarding specialized health related conditions; and participate and provide support to various committees, advisory boards and other work groups.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
The Division of Public and Behavioral Health:
Maternal and Child Health is recruiting for a Health Program Specialist 1 in Carson City, NV. The position is responsible for coordination of program activities for local implementing agencies. The position is responsible for providing technical assistance and consultation in the areas of fiscal monitoring and oversight, adolescent health and wellness, and quality improvement. The position develops, implements, and evaluates objectives, and procedures for Title V Maternal and Child Health Program, and ensures program activities are operated in compliance with federal and state rules and regulations; Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health; and Bureau policies and procedures. The position prepares, justifies, and monitors contracts and sub-awards; contributes to and writes grant applicants; and submits reports in a timely manner. The successful incumbent should have program experience and success working with community partners. This is a full-time in person position. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
